# 19050: Internal Server Error

## Description

Twilio returned a 500 Internal Server Error while processing your request. This error indicates that Twilio encountered an unexpected condition and could not complete the operation.

### Possible causes

* A temporary issue affected the Twilio platform while your request was being processed
* An internal service dependency failed or timed out
* A transient routing or infrastructure problem prevented Twilio from completing the request

### Possible solutions

* Retry the request after a short delay
* Check that your request is valid and includes all required parameters for the API resource you are calling
* If you are sending requests at high volume, use exponential backoff when retrying failed requests
* Monitor your application for repeated 500 responses and log the full request SID or response details to help with troubleshooting
* If the error continues, contact Support and include the error code, timestamp, Account SID, and any relevant request details
