# 21626: Invalid 'StatusCallbackEvent'

Log Type: APPLICATION

Log Level: ERROR

## Description

You passed one or more invalid values in `StatusCallbackEvent` for a Programmable Voice call. Use only `initiated`, `ringing`, `answered`, or `completed`. If you do not specify `StatusCallbackEvent`, Twilio sends the `completed` callback by default.

### Possible causes

* You sent a `StatusCallbackEvent` value other than `initiated`, `ringing`, `answered`, or `completed`.
* You passed multiple callback events in an invalid format. For REST API calls, send each event in a separate `status_callback_event` parameter.
* You used TwiML with an invalid `statusCallbackEvent` attribute value or formatting. When you specify multiple events in TwiML, separate them with spaces.

### Possible solutions

* Replace invalid values with supported call progress events only: `initiated`, `ringing`, `answered`, and `completed`.
* If you only need the final call result, remove `StatusCallbackEvent` and keep `StatusCallback`. Twilio sends the `completed` event by default.
* If you create calls with the REST API, send each event as a separate `status_callback_event` parameter or use your helper library's array form for `statusCallbackEvent`.
* If you use TwiML such as `<Dial><Number>`, `<Dial><Sip>`, or similar Voice call flows, provide multiple `statusCallbackEvent` values as a space-delimited list.
