# 21668: Phone number type is not supported for messaging in the Ireland (IE1) region.

## Description

This error occurs when you attempt to set the `messagingRegion` to `ie1` for a phone number type that is not supported in the Ireland (IE1) region.

### Possible causes

Attempting to set `messagingRegion` to `ie1` for a North American (+1) long code phone number.

### Possible solutions

* Use a supported sender type for the Ireland (IE1) region, such as any other country code number, a short code, or an Alphanumeric Sender ID.
* Use the United States (US1) region for North American (+1) *10-digit long code* (10DLC) phone numbers.
