# 22133: Not Portable API - Manual porting available

Log Type: APPLICATION

Log Level: ERROR

## Description

This error occurs when the Portability resource returns `MANUAL_PORTING_AVAILABLE`. The phone number cannot be ported through the Porting API, so you need to use a manual porting workflow instead.

### Possible causes

* You checked portability for a number that Twilio cannot port through the Porting API.
* You are trying to use the automated porting flow for a number that requires a manual porting path. The automated API flow supports US non-toll-free phone numbers.
* The number must be submitted through Console if it is a US phone number, or through the international porting process if it is from another country.

### Possible solutions

* If the number is a US phone number, open a porting request through Console instead of using the Porting API.
* If the number is from another country, create a support ticket to start the international porting process.
* Check portability in Console or with the Portability resource before you submit a port-in request. This helps you route numbers that require manual porting to the correct workflow.
