# 30530: Selected legal entity type does not match your business records

## Description

The registration information provided does not match the legal entity type you selected. This often happens when a business is submitted as a Sole Proprietorship but the available information indicates it is a registered or incorporated organization.

### Possible causes

* The submission was filed as a Sole Proprietor, but an EIN was provided that belongs to an incorporated entity.
* The business website or other details point to a registered or incorporated company rather than a sole proprietorship.
* The registration information is missing, incomplete, or inconsistent with the declared entity type.
