# 30914: Campaign rejected: sole proprietor campaign title does not match sole proprietor name

Log Type: APPLICATION

Log Level: ERROR

## Description

Your A2P 10DLC campaign was rejected because the title used in the sole proprietor campaign doesn't match the registered sole proprietor name on file. For sole proprietor registrations, the campaign details must be consistent with the brand identity verified during registration. A mismatch between the campaign title and the sole proprietor name raises verification concerns.

### Possible causes

* The campaign title references a business name, DBA, or alias that does not match the sole proprietor name submitted during brand registration.
* The campaign title uses a shortened or informal version of the sole proprietor name.
* The sole proprietor brand was registered with a name that does not match the name being used in the campaign.

### Fields that must match

For sole proprietor campaigns, reviewers compare the campaign title against the name on your Brand registration. Both values must refer to the same person.

| Field in campaign submission | Field on Brand registration | Must match |
| -------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Campaign title | Sole proprietor name (first and last name on Brand) | Exact match or close variant (for example, full legal name versus a common abbreviation of a first name) |
| Brand name displayed in messages | Sole proprietor name | Same identity: no unrelated business names or DBAs |

> \[!WARNING]
>
> The following campaign title would be rejected:
>
> **Brand registration name**: `Maria Johnson`\
> **Campaign title**: `MJ's Pet Grooming`
>
> Rejected because the campaign title uses a business name that doesn't match the registered sole proprietor name. Reviewers cannot verify that "MJ's Pet Grooming" is the same identity as "Maria Johnson."

> \[!NOTE]
>
> The following campaign title would pass review:
>
> **Brand registration name**: `Maria Johnson`\
> **Campaign title**: `Maria Johnson`
>
> Passes because the campaign title exactly matches the registered sole proprietor name. If you operate under a DBA, register as a standard (non-sole-proprietor) brand instead.

### Possible solutions

* Match the campaign title to your registered name. Resubmit the campaign with a title that matches or closely aligns with the sole proprietor name registered with your brand.
* Update your brand registration. If your sole proprietor name has changed, update your brand registration first, then resubmit the campaign.
* Review sole proprietor requirements. Visit the [A2P 10DLC Campaign Registration Guide](/docs/messaging/compliance/a2p-10dlc) for details on sole proprietor campaign requirements.
* If you believe this rejection is incorrect, contact [Twilio support](https://support.twilio.com).

### After you resubmit

Edit the rejected campaign rather than deleting and recreating it. Resubmitting triggers a fresh review by The Campaign Registry (TCR).

* **Vetting fee**: A vetting fee is assessed only once per campaign. Resubmitting the same campaign does not incur a new fee.
* **Timeline**: Sole Proprietor campaigns are typically approved or rejected within hours to days. Standard campaigns go through several layers of vetting, which takes up to 5 business days for standard use cases.
* **Check status**: Monitor your campaign status in **Console > Messaging > Regulatory Compliance > Campaigns**, or [fetch the UsAppToPerson resource](/docs/messaging/api/usapptoperson-resource) and check the `campaign_status` field.

For detailed resubmission steps, see [Troubleshooting and rectifying A2P Campaigns](/docs/messaging/compliance/a2p-10dlc/troubleshooting-a2p-brands/troubleshooting-and-rectifying-a2p-campaigns).
