# 45003: Authorization Error

Log Type: APPLICATION

Log Level: ERROR

## Description

45003 indicates that the request was authenticated, but the credentials do not have permission to access the requested Flex resource or perform the requested action.

### Possible causes

* Your account credentials do not have access to the requested Flex resource.
* The request is using the wrong Account SID, API Key, or Auth Token for the target resource.
* The resource belongs to a different account or subaccount.
* The action requires a role or permission that has not been granted.
* The request targets a Flex API endpoint or object that your credentials are not allowed to modify.

### Possible solutions

* Confirm that you are using the correct credentials for the account or subaccount that owns the resource.
* Verify that the resource identifier in the request is correct and belongs to your account.
* Review your Flex user roles and permissions, then update access as needed.
* If you are using API Keys, make sure the key is associated with the correct account and environment.
* Retry the request only after you confirm that the authenticated identity is allowed to access the target resource.
* If you manage multiple accounts or subaccounts, make sure the request is scoped to the intended account.
