# 53216: Participant session length exceeded

Log Type: APPLICATION

Log Level: ERROR

## Description

Raised by the server when a Participant's session length exceeds the MaxParticipantDuration value.

### Possible causes

* The Participant's session length exceeds the MaxParticipantDuration value.
* MaxParticipantDuration can be set to a value (in seconds) between 10 minutes (600 seconds) and 24 hours (86400 seconds).

### Possible solutions

* Increase the MaxParticipantDuration configuration for Rooms (up to 24 hours) via REST API upon room creation or via the Video Settings page in Twilio Console to change the default value.
