*Regulation*. Canadian law that lists the guidelines, requirements, and penalties regarding the sending of commercial bulk email.

The Canadian Anti-Spam Law (CASL) protects all Canadian email recipients regardless of the sender's origin or physical location. Enacted in in 2014, it was intended to deter spammers from targeting Canadians and to provide law enforcement better ways for stopping malicious senders.

CASL also has strict requirements for documenting the recipient's opt-in information.

To learn more, see [CASL][].

> \[!NOTE]
>
> The guidelines laid out in this law represent the "bare-minimum" regarding sending practices. Following these guidelines doesn't guarantee delivery to your recipients' inboxes.
