# Test the SSO Connection

After you configure your Identity Provider (IdP) and the Twilio SSO profile, test the SSO connection to verify that login with this profile works. To test the SSO connection, follow these steps:

* Click **Test SSO Connection** to open a new tab and be redirected to your IdP for authentication.
* If you are not already logged in to your IDP, log in using your IDP credentials and complete the authentication.
* After successful authentication with your IdP, you are redirected back to the Twilio Console and the result of the test SSO connection is displayed.
* A success message means your SSO connection is configured correctly and you can close the tab and continue to the [Enforce SSO](/docs/iam/single-sign-on/enforcing-sso-for-selected-domains) step.
* For unsuccessful test SSO connection cases, Twilio displays a relevant error message. Once the underlying reason for the error is fixed, retry the test SSO connection. You can find additional help for SSO test failures on [Troubleshooting Test SSO Failures](/docs/iam/single-sign-on/troubleshooting-errors-during-test-sso-connection).
* Note: The profile can't be used for enforcing SSO for your Organization users until test SSO is successful.
