# Sending New Emails via SendGrid For New Gravity Forms Submissions

If you want to send a new SendGrid email every time you receive a Gravity Form submission, you can do that using [Zapier](https://zapier.com).

You will need:

* a [Gravity Forms](https://www.gravityforms.com) account
* a [SendGrid](https://sendgrid.com) account
* a [Zapier](https://zapier.com) account

## Steps

1. [Getting your accounts ready](#ready)
2. [Connecting your accounts](#connect)

### Getting your accounts ready \[#ready]

To connect your Gravity Forms account to Zapier, install the Gravity Forms plugin with the Zapier add-on and create a form using Gravity Forms.

* To learn how to create forms and install the add-ons, see the [Gravity Forms getting started guide](https://www.gravityhelp.com/documentation/article/getting-started/).
* To learn how to integrate with Gravity Forms on Zapier, see the [Zapier Gravity Forms help](https://zapier.com/help/gravity-forms/#how-get-started-gravity-forms).

Linking your Gravity Forms to Twilio SendGrid requires an active Twilio SendGrid account.

* To learn more about getting started with Twilio SendGrid basics, see the [Twilio SendGrid API reference](/docs/sendgrid/api-reference/).
* To learn how ot use Twilio SendGrid on Zapier, see the [Zapier Twilio SendGrid help](https://zapier.com/help/sendgrid/#how-get-started-sendgrid).

### Connecting your accounts \[#connect]

To connect your accounts, open the [Send new emails via Twilio SendGrid for new Gravity Forms submissions](https://zapier.com/zapbook/zaps/4782/send-new-emails-via-sendgrid-for-new-gravity-forms-submissions/) Zap, then follow these steps:

1. Follow the directions on the first step of the Zap to connect your Gravity Forms account to Zapier.
2. Choose your SendGrid account from the list of accounts, or connect a new account.
3. To connect your Twilio SendGrid account to Zapier for the first time, enter your API key. If you have not created an API Key, go to the [**API Keys** page](https://app.sendgrid.com/settings/api_keys) in the Twilio SendGrid console.
4. Using fields from Gravity Forms, create, and customize the **To**, **From**, and **Subject** email message that the Zap will send.

5. Click **Save + Finish**.

Now test the Zap to make sure it works. Once you're satisfied with the results, new Gravity Forms submissions will automatically send a SendGrid email.
